Description
Parkersburg is the third largest city in West Virginia, and sits on the confluence of the Ohio and Little Kanawha Rivers. During the American Civil War, it served as a transportation and medical center for the Union. Following the war, it further developed into a transportation hub for the gas and oil boom.
